 What Sarah did during during the week

My week has been very good so far, because I got to go to school. What it was like coming back to school was that it felt very weird and, also unfair because we could get to see our year six friends, because they were at bubble 5. But at the same time I could play with my year 5 friends, who were in bubble four with me. The most activity that I enjoyed the most was planting the sun flower seeds at school, that our teacher who's name is  Mrs Butler gave us little pots to plant in our sunflower seeds and beans. And lastly what I did at home was that me and my family are going to put up some Christmas lights on our new fence and  decorate the outside of our fence with Christmas decorations.

What I did in the holidays with my family, was that we went to my twin cousins first  birthday. When we arrived  at my aunty's house we kissed the two twin and said happy birthday. We waited a long time for the birthday to get started. When everything was ready, we all sat down and said a prayer. When we finished the prayer and we sang happy birthday, and the twin blew the  birthday cakes. The family finished eating and they started to leave. We almost stayed there until  the morning. We went back home because it was getting  cold. We said good bye to my aunty but the twin were already sleeping. 

The other places we went to was a Dairy Shop. We were going to a Dairy Shop because we had to buy some milk and get a ice block because it was hot. We had to walk because we had no vehicle . Then we went to a store to buy some slime and a stress ball because it was very boring at home and we had nothing to play with . My mom pushed me on a wheel chair because I had a broken  leg. It was very tiring for her pushing me up and down the hill, and my five year old brother had to help her push me up. Once we reached home my mom told us to go and get a mattress to put on the ground, and we played with our toys. Then my brother and cousin came and spend time with us and then they left.

 

Special Olympic game's !!!

On Monday we did Special Olympics games. Our teacher gave us clipboards for us to mark each sport we go to and the teachers will mark how much respect we did  during  the game. The first game my team went to was badminton and my team versus the other team and we lost.

 The  second game we did was we have to put on a very funny costume run to your teammate and take off the costume hand it to them to wear and they run to the next person. We repeat this with the other team, by putting it on and run to next person again and do the same thing, once we all had a turn then we all run back and wait for the other team and we won that race and it was fun.

Next sport was going to be throwing the gumboots and we all lined up and everyone had a turn of throwing the gumboots. I threw the gumboot far away on my  first turn and my second turn I did not really throw that far. But we won all together. 

The next sport we went to was leapfrogging on the small stilts. We leaped frog to the other side and leapfrog back and tagged our teammates. The next instruction was we have to do zigzags and come back leapfrogging and once we finished that we moved along to the next sport.

 Our next one was stick together. We got a basketball then you get a team member. Strap your hand around their arm and put  one ball on both of your backs. Then we walked straight and around the chair came back and changed with the other person and did the same thing.

 When we finished with stick together  we went to  where you have to get a ball at put two balls both under your arm. When we did all of that we walked straight and tried not to drop the ball.

After we finished that sport we went to the next one. It was that you have to get a bean bag and try to toss it into the basket. We were having so much fun.

Our next sport was to run and unstack the tower then restack it and run back . Once any team finish  they will wait for the teacher to come and tell you the next instruction.   The next one we did was to run and  unstack the tower then restack, do five star jumps and run back and tag your teammates to repeat same thing. 

We all sat down and waited and then the teacher told us to run around the basket then unstack and re stack the tower and we did five star jumps.

The last sport we did was to get a teammate and tell them to stand like a statue with their hands up. We throw the small,medium and big hula hoops into them and try to get all three of them in.

Ke Ora Bloggers. So in these past few weeks we have been working on our animation cultural  slide show that we work with our buddies. So an animation is like a slide show that moves slide by slide and you have to move your character and I did that with my two buddies. The best part was that I liked working with my buddies in class. I liked working with the new girl and her name is Kahla and she is a year six. I also worked with Savanna as my third partner and she is a year 5 like me.

So how to play
Catch the Dragons Tail is you make a chain with family or friends .We did stick mans holding each others shoulders and we did speech bubbles for just one of the stick man. Probably my favorite cultural game would be Catch the Dragons Tail or Pass the Parcel.

Procedure Work

 Procedure Text 

Talofa lava everyone!!!!. So these past few weeks we have been working on our Procedure Text . The Procedure Text is a activity where you can pick out a game and write down equipment/materials and a goal to win the game and how to play it.

What I did was I chose the game Musical Chairs that you can play with how ever many players you want and then we can write down instructions about how to play the game.

What I learnt was that musical chairs could include anyone at school or out of school that you could play with family, cousins and friends that could come over and visit your place.

I did good while doing my Procedure Text and I enjoined doing the procedure Text with my friends and enjoined writing it and doing it with my teachers too.

   

                                                                                                                                                                       

Swimming

 Talofa lava, last last week we went swimming at Cameron Pools and I went on the safety boat. 

First we went on the boat and we helped the other students to get onto the boat from the water. It was hard because the water was high and we were wearing life jackets. Then our swimming teacher Brittany told us to sit on the side of the boat and fall back into the water! All of us were screaming because the water was kinda deep. Then Brittany flipped the boat upside down and told us to line up in the water. 

We all lined up in pairs and we all went under the boat and pretended that the boat had flipped over us. So we counted up to five and we swim underwater to get out from under the boat. The other students had a turn too. Then we lined up again but in one the swimming teacher flipped the boat again and told us to get on top of the boat and hold the rope so we  don't fall out to the water so we pretended to climbed to the top of the boat and tried to flip over the boat so when we are in the water we can flipped the boat and help the other people to get on the boat.

In the session I learnt that if you get stuck in the middle of the sea you can use those lessons to help save your life in the deep dark blue sea.
